Note: You will need to be an admin to install the GlobalProtect VPN. If you are not, or do not know (it will fail the install) then please let us know and we can help.
- If you have the Pulse Secure VPN installed, please uninstall that if you know how. If you need our help, let us know. For Mac users, it is just the one app to uninstall. Windows users will have 3-4 listed in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
- Go to https://gateway.colostate.edu and logon with your CSU eid and password. You will need to authenticate with Duo.
- Select the "Download the GlobalProtect Agent" link in the top right of the page, it will open a new tab. Windows users, choose the 64 bit client, Mac users there is only one option.
4. Install the app and select all the defaults
5. When it is installed, the app will open asking you to enter the portal address. Use gateway.colostate.edu
6. You can then Connect to the VPN, it will open a browser page where you will enter your CSU eid/password and then use Duo to authenticate
Notes: For Windows users, you may not see the taskbar icon. You can click the ^ icon to see the rest of the icons and then drag and drop it to the right to make it permanent.
Also, you MUST use the app for accessing any network resources. The Gateway website can be used for the apps listed (subject to change by CSU Division of IT).
