I need a new project folder for my class or group (Faculty or Staff only)

If you need to create a new project folder in the T:\ drive, please submit this form: https://csu-ets.freshservice.com/support/catalog/items/5 . An ETS team member will create the folder for you, giving ownership of the folder to the engineering account associated with the staff or faculty member in charge of the class or group.

I need to add someone to my existing class or group project folder

If you are the owner of a Project folder in the T:\ drive, you can manage the users that are able to access this folder using our web tool here: https://www.engr.colostate.edu/ets/tools/groups/ (you can also find the link to this web tool on our Network Folders and Drives page). Simply log in with your engineering credentials (the ones you would use to log into an engineering computer like a lab computer or an office computer. Note, the password might not be the same password you use to log into Canvas or Outlook. If you don't remember your engineering password, you can reset it here: https://www.engr.colostate.edu/ets/tools/reset-password/).

Once you have logged into the groups tool, you should see a list of all groups which you are part of. If you are the owner of a group, the group name will be a linkĀ that you can click to edit the group. Enter the eID of the person you wish to add to the group, and they will be automatically added to your group, and will have access to your project folder in the T:\ drive.

If a user cannot be added for some reason, the owner of a group can also request to have a user added to their group by submitting a Folder Permissions service request form: https://csu-ets.freshservice.com/support/catalog/items/25 . This request should come from the owner of a group, and not from a person who needs access to the group.

I need to be added to a class or group folder

To get access to a class or group folder, please reach out to the owner of the folder (usually the faculty/staff member in charge of the project) who can give you access to the folder using the ETS Groups tool, or by submitting the Folder Permissions request form above. These actions should usually be taken by the owner of a project folder, and not someone trying to get access to the folder.
